Both Thorsten and Alex Pagulayan shared the same characteristics as a player. They are both great in taking RISKY LONG SHOTS and they are both profficient on doing that. But over the years, Alex Pagulayan got Thorsten numbers in head to head matches.

Alex Pagulayan has been 2 times into the Final. 2003 gets Runner-up(10-17), next year in 2004, he gets Champion(17-13, def. Pei-wei Chang【Taiwanese Pool Player】)! But 2004 World Pool Championship. It helds in Taiwan(Taipei City). BTW, Thorsten Hohmann is 2 time World 9-ball Champion(2003 & 2013)!
