Sartre said to be human is to judge, (or somethin' like that), and I agree. But that concept swings both ways, to avoid judgment is basically an abdication of humanity. There's so many elemental problems with our civilization, and yet to disrupt our processes and hierarchies enough to address those core issues will never happen, because those who currently thrive and thereby dictate options stand to lose the most. So, smoke a spliff and don't worry 'bout it, mom.
Musically, it's a true 3/4 time signature in the verses, not a hidden 6/8, and more false-bluesy dominate chords. Then, the sudden switch to 4/4 for the choruses is accompanied by an equally sudden key shift to Emin. But wait, the A7 has a G natural too, so maybe it was Emin the whole time!!!
Mwah ha ha!
As per most my songs in the olden days, (I wrote this shit during my travel trailer era, so '95-'96), the middle sections go in lots of different directions of key and tempo, eventually resolving to a faster version of the verse and chorus for one more run-through rondo. Another song that I don't know if it's any good, but I know at least it sounds like no other musical moment, ever. It's all me baby.
And no, I won't tell you where this secret ostrich haven is.
