I encourage all non Arabic speakers(including myself) to learn the language. A da'ee said something very profound that "Arabic is not just the language of the arabs but it is the language of the Muslims." If you can't, then the second best thing is to read the translation. Don't underestimate it because it will still have a profound effect on your heart just by hearing about jahannam, jannah, the destruction of the previous nations, Allah's signs and mercy towards us, etc.

It's also a most beautiful language on earth because Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم spoke arabic in his whole life.

@@Lmsjfj Here is an advice from us regarding learning arabic "To learn arabic first learn basic grammar Then after you finish with just this basic grammar, begin reading arabic books, we recommend the bayna yadak series (For reading practice only - no need to do any grammar drills or such since the grammar learning has already been done) Through this you will build your vocabulary, and strengthen solidify your grammar The goal here is just to be able to comprehend first. As for outputting arabic, that is a goal one may strive for after they are able to read and understand what they read/listen - (in this regard many people they learn the opposite which is not recommended- they assume one should learn arabic by trying to speak/write in it - and if you give them a simple paragraph in arabic they will not be able to read and understand it)- so first comprehension then output - because if you can not understand what you read/listen how would you expect to speak and output ? So we suggest anyone trying to learn arabic, first learn basic grammar, then immediately begin reading arabic, through which one will solidify their grammar and increase their vocabulary and through this increase their comprehension very quickly Learning basic grammar would not take too long, will take around 1 to 3 months depending on the student and program Here is a playlist for grammar, kzbin.info/aero/PLAEHTq3cVXZMlU6eHrLmf3PoGGn_zSOaZ Remember he is only an arabic teacher, he is no scholar or something to learn islam/religion from For learning vocabulary, first learn common 500 or so words, from a common-vocabulary list. Then one may read beginner books and try to understand what is written, and if one comes across a new word, look up in dictionary, and then learn it. Through this not only will one learn new words, they will slowly become able to read and comprehend arabic directly. A very good online arabic dictionary www.arabicstudentsdictionary.com/search?q=%D8%B5%D9%84%D8%A7%D8%A9 A good series, we recommend, to begin reading arabic, are the bayna yadak books. It is a book series, designed for people learning arabic, so the difficulty are in order, and they start off with easy texts, so no need to worry in diving into reading it firsthand. One can read alone, and there are many youtube series going over the books, if one wants to learn with a teacher online. Once someone has a good vocabulary of from anywhere around 2000 to 4000 words (in arabic) they will soon be able to rapidly accelerate their comprehension in the language - it is a phenomenon one would have to experience to truly understand!" May Allah make it easy for you, if you have any question do ask, barakallahu feekum

SubhanAllah. This is the sort of practical advice I've been looking. I kept putting it off because I didn't know where to start. JazakAllahu khairan, I really appreciate it. May Allah reward you and further enable you to keep benefitting the Ummah with your channel especially considering that we are living in times where fools are taken as scholars.

If you're not among these who can do pondering of the meaning of the quran because of lacking knowledge, you better read more and try as well looking for knowledge. Reciting the quran has are tremendous reward it's self so don't lose the sprite of read the quran as it is the best zikir, those who are more versed in both may be better in reward but you should also expect a good reward insha Allah may Allah teach us all and accept our deeds ameen

"Do they not ponder on what the Quran says? Or have their hearts been sealed with locks?" [47:24] *Pondering upon the Quran, is going back to reading reliable tafseers, and understanding, comprehending the meaning of verses as explained by the reliable scholars *Two reliable tafseers of Quran is Tafsir ibn Kathir Tafsir As - Sa'di

I joined online tajweed class few month before there was a teacher of age 25 or 27 told the importance of Tajweed and quoted a hadith that prophet Muhammad peace be upon him said whoever don't read quran beautifully are not among us. And explained that it means you are not jannati not ummati and not even muslim how dangerous hadith it is got it. This is what she told .how far it is right? What should we do in such conditions.she didn't quote another Hadith that if you read with difficulty you will get double reward. When I objected she given reference from bukhari but no reference of explanation.when I told to admin about it she did not take any strong step as it is wrong interpretation of hadith rather she told that she said just from her own I will tell her no issue you continue your studies.that young teacher didn't accept that she explained wrongly to 12 to15 students. That young teacher told that masha allah she had experience of teaching 500 students. And I wonder till now non of them objected and I don't know whether they will stop quoting like this or not .well that's not my job .I left that academy .asI find it's better to remain without knowing rather you learn wrong things jazakallah khair .

If someone reads the Quran for the same time - the one who read with ponderance and understanding his reward is greater - if time is concerned. Here is a video going more detailed about topic of reading the Quran quickly or with ponderance kzbin.info/www/bejne/bXepqpRoe7qZeM0

@Ling Ling Anyone can recite the Quran as long as they know the Arabic letters But not everyone will take the time to read attentively, with presence of the mind and take the time to understand, comprehend and ponder upon the verses, based on tafseer of reliable scholars (eg tafseer of ibn kathir) May Allah forgive us for our shortcomings and mistakes

No, as sheikh salih al fawzan حفظه الله said, It is better to ponder more, even if verses read were less, than reading a lot with little ponderance.
