I have been stricken with illness for years. Today as a clocked out from working just 3 hours one of my coworkers said "I'm praying for you." I told her, "there are times I just say, He is faithful & worth it". I am just a normal man after the heart of my Heavenly Papa. Thank you for sharing this song!!! I love how Simon Peter wasn't like: "I am a awesome Christian, I know you are the best. I am so Christian I would never turn from you.", when many weren't happy with Jesus, and Jesus asked them if they (the disciples) want to leave. Insteadt he responded: "Lord, to whom shall we go? Thou hast the words of eternal life." or in my language it says: "Where else could we go?" There is no better place. Is all perfect with Jesus, or at least, does it feel like it? No. But where else can I go. May not sound very convincing, but it was "good enough" for Jesus. So I guess sometimes all we can say is: "Jesus, I don't understand you at all. But.. Where else could I go? Even though I don't understand you at all, even though I am sad, disappointed, angry.. I come, and run towards you, because there is no better place than in your arms." When my husband died suddenly 2 yrs ago I thought I would just have to get through life, waiting, until I could go too. But He is showing me a life that can be productive and filled with hope. I just want to say thank you for sharing this song. I keep listening to it often. It gives me courage to go through life. My daughter has serious health challenges that the doctors are helpless to fix though not like what you went through with. It brought Bible verses more to life.

I cannot even begin to imagine what your family has been through. Sometimes it seems life was easier when things like transplants weren't an option, because they raise so many ethical issues about how organs are harvested for transplants - often it is a very cruel and inhumane process. I wouldn't like to have to make such a decision. Modern medicine may provide what looks like miracles, but often it's at the expense of terrible suffering, even for the person receiving the 'miracle treatment '. Sometimes it looks like we humans facilitate greater suffering that maybe God never intended....
