Anyone else exhausted with the ridiculous theme of your first high school crush being your one and only true love interest for life? Especially since we have almost no evidence of them actually interacting before they were “forced to marry”? It is just so ridiculous for a drama that adults are supposed to watch and enjoy. It paints love as a simplistic, superficial, harmful, and unchanging thing rather than a beautiful; complex, deep, and evolving thing. It’s exhausting hearing that a girl “fell in love” with the male lead from afar with almost no interaction-that sounds like a superficial crush or a fantasy about what she thinks he is like. I’m tired of the male lead having a sudden flash of “oh, I actually love her!” After he has been treating the woman he supposedly loves like crap, physically abusing her; kidnapping and holding her against her will - but yeah, we are supposed to believe 😢his toxic mess is “true love” Do better, screenwriters!

Понятие влюбленность заменяют словом любовь, говорят любят и терпят все унижения...стерпится слюбится..женитьба по расчету, в угоду родителям и вот и рождаются такие "семьи" несчастные, а где -то доходит до несчастных случаев. I totally agree, but I don't see scriptwriters changing from these ridiculous brainless toxic scripts anytime soon. There must be enough demand for this type of story, and it's cheaper to churn out a gazillion dramas to the same formula than pay a decent scriptwriter to write a decent original story more in keeping with 21st century principles, unfortunately! The only way they will change is if everyone boycotts these dramas.

Script: ML keeps his mistress, stringing her along, doing everything she wants, spending all his time with her while being married to the FL. Halfway through the drama he decides, that he wants to be with his wife and tries to get rid of the mistress. He then wonders, WHY this mistress does not want to let go and keeps asking him, why he does not love her anymore...yeah well, if you make promises for years, it is kind of normal, that she thinks you love her...duh....but wait, that´s not all....our masochist FL just loves to share her man for 3 years....she loves it soo sooo much, that she can not wait, to get back together with him, after he abandoned her, left her dying on the roadside and caused her to loose their child. Ahhh yes, he is such a great guy, how could anyone even consider leaving him...eyeroll. Acting: really good! The leads were good, the side actors were not bad either. Only worth watching for the actors.

How could the FL escape herself and leave her friend in that dangerous mess amongst the media crowd !!??

Bwahh! I don't like to blame the victim but never force marriage on a man, especially when he's "in love" with someone else. It's a recipe for disaster. We don't like to see it when the mistress's do it so why should we accept it when the FLs do it. If both parties are forced into a marriage then at least they should treat each other as equals and not play the blame game. These FLs bring the misery and pain to themselves by doing this.

Well-for one thing-this isn’t love. He treats her as a possession that he has full control over. He is intermittently violent (grabbing her by the neck, dragging her by the arm, pushing her into the car) and threatening. He actually believes that it’s his decision and his alone whether they stay together or get divorced-her feelings do not matter to him at all. Ps. We are never given an explanation for why the FL supposedly has loved him since high school… Why? He doesn’t seem to be a decent man in general and who among us is the same person they were in high school? It’s ridiculous that her “love” would survive actually getting to know the rea him instead of some fantasy a teenager girl made up in her head.

1:09:40 this drama and this male lead in particular should be shown in educational material on how to spot a toxic relationship shop and a controlling abusive partner. He constantly grabs her by the neck, and he doesn’t say he loves her-he just says that HE made the decision to not divorce her and SHE is not allowed to leave him, or meet with other men (platonically) all while he himself is constantly meeting with the other woman who he KNOWS has feelings for him. None of this is love-it is possession and obsessiveness and control. He does not respect her one but, does not take into account her wants or needs at all. It’s all about what HE wants and decides. Yikes! 1:24:35 After refusing again to divorce, he literally kidnaps the FL, imprisons her in his home against her will, and s declares they will never be divorced. This man is a clear psychopath! Skip the last minute of the drama and instead replace it with her leaving him forever to live a healthy happy life far away from him and his toxic controlling attitude! 2:17:42 and now he is basically threatening to harm himself if she won’t get back with him! Toxic manipulation at its finest! Then he knocks her out cold and kidnaps her (right in front of a bunch of people in the hospital!)
