Have never owned a Slingshot bindings with the modern mounting system, I ended up messing around a bunch before getting my stance dialed. Wanted to share my thought process as this mounting system is different from other brands.

So I just completed the challenge of mounting my new Slingshot bindings to Liquid Force board (with no fixed holes). Took me just 1 hour and 3 videos including this one 🤣 Thanks for making it, at least I knew it wasn't just me! I put my old binding and new one sole-to-sole and made a note of which numbers on Slingshot corresponded to the right numbers on my old system. On 6X I'm 18-18 (full turn-out), on Slings K9 it's 0 inside - 8 outside. 0 on the inside centers it out for me, but it's the top of the clamp at 0, the screw is somewhere around 1. I seriously don't get why adding all this pain to the good old 6X, which also ensures the set-up is perfectly symmetrical.

Yeah, it is quite a puzzle, ha ha. At least once you figure it out, you’re good to go from there on.

do you use the tongue? I just got a pair of these, gonna try to mount them today. I use -15 + 15 on my hyperlite riots.. hope I can get the same angles on these

I don’t use the tongue. I feel like there is still plenty of support without it. Could see using it on boat or if you were mainly kickers/airtricks though. Exact angles can be tough on these but im sure you can get to a setup you like. Just need to mess around, measure etc like I did in this video.

@@LifetimeShred yeah I just gave up for now.. really weird system to mount and im only going to the cable on the weekend 😂

@@joaofezasvital Yeah I agree. I had some Slingshot Rads back in 2013 and I wish they would go back to that old baseplate. Was more similar to what you see on Hyperlites etc.

@@LifetimeShred yeah I mean this gives you more options but somethings are just better kept simple.. -15 +15 and that's it for me. this is going to be a pain in the *** to get the symmetrical... "once you got the first one as you like it just copy paste to the other one"... yeah right

@@joaofezasvital agreed. One other technique that I was thinking about is you could use a chalk reel and a protractor to measure out you planned center point and exact angles. Then align the boot for that before screwing down. Probably way over tech for wakeboard bindings but could be precise. Maybe ill make a followup video..

Just got the space mob bindings, how does the angles work? Does putting them at 1 and 3 feel like 12 degrees?
@LifetimeShred2 жыл бұрын
I haven’t seen a way to get exact angles with them. I don’t think the numbers translate on the sides to anything. I found at least in my size 9’s the 0 mark wasn’t even a center point. In the video I get into that a bit. Takes a little bit to get it how you want it, but they do ride great once you do.

@@LifetimeShred Thanks! I think our setup is similar, I got size 9 and 153 coalition, centered at around 2

Hi, why did you change from HL System to SS Space Mob ?
@LifetimeShred Жыл бұрын
Hey, I wanted to try a walkable liner vs the system boots to see if it felt closer to how a normal boat boot would feel. I think overall it does. I think both the Space Mobs and the HL Systems are great, just a little different feel. In addition, the newer HL boots didn't fit my feet well compared to the last HL boot I had, The Murray.

@@LifetimeShred thanx for feedback. I am back in cable wakeboarding since 25 years pause, and I am wondering about progress in boards, sizes and bindings since the 1990-2000. I ordered the HL lowback with Distortion Boot instead the Space Mob. The only reason is I got the 2022 set for 200 bugs sale against the Space Mob price.

@@oseenerby3031 Welcome back! I think they are both great setups. If the boots fit good, I think you will be very happy! Everyone's feet are different.
