Hi. I've just watched your "Stop doing bushcraft" video. I liked the relaxed, conversational style. It's an important subject which you covered in a non-confrontational way. I kept looking at the tree trunk you were sat next to. It looked like an old one, if only it could talk. Cheers. (By the way its not me in the picture, thats the wife.)

God video Andy, thanks for posting it. As you're alluding to, most people in the bushcraft community do follow the ethos and ethics of #LeaveNoTrace however we also need to consider the optics of what we're doing, and use our knowledge, skills, and experience to help and encourage other people - some who may be new to enjoying outdoor environments - to reduce their impact on the environments that we love. My only criticism of the video is that you drink tea..... make it COFFEE!!!! ;-)
@70agrr3 жыл бұрын
HAHA, I do like my coffe too^^ , but yes, all of us will be seen as representing 'all of us' , wether we like it or not, so always being mindful is important.

Hi Andy. Walk quiet, talk slow and friendly, leave no trace and keep yourself and everyone else safe - blend in - study - learn! Great video and great advice. ATB. NIgel

Absolutely sound advice! Let's keep our hobby friendly on the environment and respectful for nature and for the people. Be respectful, responsible and mindful of your actions! The woods are to be enjoyed not destroyed! Have fun! ATB Sam Adler

Everything in moderation, a simple message, although some folks seem to be taking it the wrong way and getting bent out of shape a little as they think I am 'telling' them what to do or not do, ho hum, at least its making people think.

Well said ! It's not what we do, it's all about perception! Great video Andy!

It was always a lot more eloquent in my head, I am just concerned in the next few months that the countryside is going to be trampled and covered with rubbish, and 'some' bushcrafters will burn. tear down and milk the woods etc for all its got in their rush to 'bushcraft'...

Hi Andy good to see you on KZbin. You are lucky you are near such great nature. I miss being near the Countryside. Would you ever do Foraging ? What I mean is I saw a channel where the guy actually picked leaves that he used for coffee and it’s supposed to be so healthy?
@70agrr3 жыл бұрын
I do indeed, wild garlic, dandylions nettles and pine needle teas, fungi I tend to steer clear of unless its for tinder purposes, foraging is great

@@70agrr ive mainly been gurrilla camping with a bit of field craft but the amount of trash left by people has been baffling tbh id say is the problem just gave me a idea for a vid showing people its not a back breaking take to put rubbish in the bin 🤣🤣🤣
