I find this strategy to grow corn fascinating. It amazes me that a handful of corn seeds can struggle through 18 inches of sand to find the Sun. I would imagine it is the joint effort of all the seeds thrown into that hole that they all burst forth. It would be fun to watch if they burst the soil together or the strongest first then the rest following.

Hey, I'm Navajo from Holbrook Arizona. This video shows a red corn with white stripes on the kernels. My family grows this corn, but have no idea why or what it's use(s) are. My great grandma grew and passed it down to my grandma, who after passing got into the hands of my grandpa, and then passed to me. This corn has been in my family, I just want to know more about it. (My parents have strayed from traditional life, and I'm trying to get back to it.) If anyone could help inform me, that would be much appreciated.

The red corn with the white stripes looks like Hopi Chinmark corn. I found the seed on this website shop.nativeseeds.org/products/zf003 They have many native corn seeds to view and to purchase. Look at the Nativeseeds.org website. You will be amazed! cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0157/0808/products/ZM003a_1024x1024.jpg?v=1433790546

I want to help & learn & teach!!!! I have blue hopi corn seeds & rainbow corn seeds I was given during ceremony. Native farming & building traditions are of the utmost importance to me, I want to teach & inspire people including natives to get back to their roots & the old ways of doing things because of the substantial benefits it would have on our mother Earth. I am a sustainable building student & eventually I want to become an architect with emphasis on sustainability so I can buy land & be one with the mother. However, I am
