THOUGHTS ON CANAL RESTORATIONS

Slight departure from my last video ( continued next time ) but really got caught up with a recent visit to Derby on some footage I filmed around there. I quickly put it together. ‘A day in the life you might say’.

In my experience of walking and filming along the canals the overwhelming majority of people are polite, friendly, chatty. Unusual for a boater not to give you a cheery hello. Thank you again.

Morning to you, I’m just retiring after a prolonged night shift covering 50 miles of the Midland Mainline doing assurance checks. No, you’re absolutely right, however in some rare cases, ‘leisure boaters’ become shall we say, ‘a little confused’. Personally, I prefer the narrow canals, please don’t get me started on ‘wider boats’, especially those that get stuck under 240 year old infrastructure. Nice to hear from you, loved your Chesterfield Canal video… great work, keep it up.

Aw wow… thank you so much. I try to keep out on opinion on here because it just galvanises opinion… Paul sadly, completely rubbished my super out of hand… the gathering yesterday lacks a leader, in America 🇺🇸 a man was shot, stood up and shouted ‘fight, fight, fight… I will do no less… anyway, that said, this boating journey of mine has been nothing short of incredible… it’s like I died and woke up in a much happier time … thanks again for your interest … I really appreciate it… have a great rest of your day ⚓️🙏🏼👋🏼
