I think in solo you can use a pallamute and a palico, and in multiplayer you can only bring one companion.

@@XzeonOfficial Then this wouldn't either since it's a faster-paced game, unlike traditional monster hunter with an evolution of the clutch claw, Palamautes that function similarly to raider rides, turf wars, vigorwasps, seamless maps, and no exaggerated blood effects from what I've seen. They're building on World's QoL.

Like nothing is too far off from the legacy games, -weapon design is back to its creative self -Open world but still keeping the Arena Style Zones - Wirebug attacks that might be used in the same way as Arts - What seems to be a middle ground in attack mechanics - isnt caveman themed -callbacks to the other portable games - A possible mechanic similar to APEX Monsters and hopefully something not stupid like AT monsters

Gosh, the very Misty Peaks-esque vibe I'm getting from the ruins + all that heckin water is really, really making me hopeful they'll bring the leviathans back. Maybe even give Lagiacrus the themesong he's been denied for so long (It's got his name in the track's title for goodness sake!) And Stories 2 whhhhhh, I was freaking out when I saw that announcement on my Switch ;A; Let us have Valstrax, Agnaktor, and Mizutsune this time though :'(

Palamute is a play on the words pal and malamute (a specific dog breed) so the name is actually more clever than malamutt would have been.

Cool thing is that malamutes are sometimes called "bear killing dogs", and the footage they showed was with it in combat against an azuros. It's a pretty cool reference.

I kind of hope that the magnamalo amiibo gives us a magnamalo egg and not just armor. For MHST 1 to get a glevenus monstie you needed egg fragments from doing the arena battles, but there was no glevenus amiibo. They could make it so when we put the amiibo on we can challenge magnamalo in a special arena and if we win we are guaranteed to get an egg when it goes back to its den.

You can mix and match and bring up to 2 dogs or 2 cats or a mixed of both if you play alone. Probably means you generally have 2 dogs and 2 cats to begin with =)
