Thoughts on Scrapper rework

The person who is in charge of reworking Tai certainly doesn't play this game enough. They don't know what Tai really wants in a rework.

These types of thinks happens in games, maybe the man who reworked know about the class but not an expert, and maybe know about the what need the shock build but not tai. Is a ptr and we espect to they rerework the class to the en d of ptr or cancel the rework to a future

they don't know shock either. shock needs more crits/speed. they can add them in the tripod but they didn't. the damage of shock not good compared against slayer/glaiv but they decided to reduce the spec ratio (?????)@@Mitsugi30

The rework for shock gone awfull too yes, but the changes rework shock trying to do it better. For tai there is no rework, a changed skill + renumbers damages to be lower. No comments to the new z useless in tai :'(

honestly most of the changes have just been me scratching my head with regards to balance. They all seem totally opposite of what people were expecting. In regards to scrapper, its really sad to see SG has no idea how to fix it.

Isn't the gauge meant for shock? Tai is a swiftness class, maybe they didn't think this to taijustsu, its just there so theres something.

If that is the thought process than why tai get 10 seconds in the identity and shock only 5 secs ? What can shock do in 5 seconds with slow and long animation?

Almost u have in these 5 secs +20% attack speed. Tai got useless parslisis inmunity, only usefull for 1 skill that havent it 😂

Haha agree, i've seen so many tier lists where they put spec sum in SSS tier, but i feels like its one of the worst classes atm, even my reflux sorc and hunger reaper doing fairly well compare to my sum.

seems like theyre forcing tai to go full swift and use 3 or 4 shock skills instead of 2 (guessing because nerf to tai skills the z skill gives free gauge for shock)

But he has reason in the case of the full swift, going full switf is the only case where u spent all the yellow energy and use your Z for refilled and following pressing yellow buttons. Im playing 50/50 (more crit) and never had a yellow skill disabled cause energy, but trying full swift in trixion for comparision u have times with your yellow skill in grey.. To resume they are forcing us to play tai full swift, cause will have a better use for Z= more damage Edit: same for "iron canon" cd tripod removement and the new skill long cd, not going full switf u will have longer cds = time not doing nothing = less damage

Exactly Mitsugi. There is no issue with energy when youre going 50/50 which is why people wont feel a need for the z skill. What I was theorizing (because I dont have access to KR) is that with full swift, we can push the horsepower to the limit and go beyond/compensate that with the z skill for its maximum potential. Iron cannon lost its CD tripod which gives it incentive to have more swift. RN we normally use 2 shock skills because we can comfortably afford 2. BUT if we can abuse the z to add another shock (maybe one of the new shock reworks), then potentially theres more damage. The patch notes did hint that they want us to use more shock. The only way tai can do more significant dmg is if all skills have shorter cd, ALL skills magically crit, or they buff the BASE DMG of ALL yellow skills . It might sound stupid/irrational but sometimes we gotta try the opposite approach.

@@Mitsugi30 Im playing 1550+ swift 800+ crit atm, with 3% ms food and 10% yearning i have 39.9% move speed for RC. I can assure you that with lvl 7 cd gems its hard to utilize all of your skills because cd's are very low already, so this build just doesn't scale with higher cd gems. I dont think that new tripod on ICB will drasticly change that.

I used to main tai and was really hoping this was gonna make a noticeable difference for the class but it’s just not what I wanted. Unfortunately she’s 1580 so I can’t drop her but I’m disheartened by this PTR so far

imo, tai srap is the same, no buff/nerf, maybe a bit nerf from the new skill cd. just think of it as we got no balance patch for tai scrapper for now....

Not the full case, but yes now u are force to play tai full swift to use z to refill your energy, and follow spaming a little bit. Whatching Jang J playing full swift there are a shorts moments that he havent yellow energy and pressing z he can do more for these 2 secs without energy. I play 50/50 and Z will be superuseless for me... Like i said in another comment Z needs to reset your yellow skills to have a use for tai

Completely useless for shock. With no mobility how do you think shock can do dmg within 5 seconds? And the z ruins our rotation. When z is up you will find all skills in cd. And the rotation relies heavily on the reset of roundup. If it doesn’t get reset ok you die.

Im playing scrapper tai since amazon realease. I never care about the tier list changes or balances in the class. And now, hearing this words from u, knowing u were main scrapp in kr... Im really worried about for first time to my lovely class.. A rework that tranform a class to useless and more bored... No sense. I expect they gives something usefull in the new Z for tai, like reset your yellow cds.. There are so many good options, but they didnt think about tai for this rework, we saw it... I feel you😢

Nah, shock is even more clunky to play, as you rely on counter reset to not lose your dps rotation. As stupid as these changes are for Taijutsu as well, Taijutsu is in a better spot than Shock is right now. It is Taijutsu or nothing with these changes.
