AngelBeats. Wonderful.. I figured the afterlife out as soon as the previous singer dissapeared( I am cursed, I ALWAYS forget the names. ALWAYS. I remember each and every character of each and every anime I watched lively, but names, no. ). When this song played in the anime, I red the lyrics. I don't even remember the scene that played, the lyrics got me hooked. Heh, look at me. So pathetic. Being all emotional.. I bet I'll see my comment again when I happen to stumble upon this song, and I'm certain it'll all come back to me. This.. Sentimental state. But I guess, that that really is what makes anime so great to me. It always catches me off-guard, puts me in a mood and then throws the big story event in. It always teaches me, or makes me realise something about life. This particular anime made me realise that people can't move on with anything if they don't have peace with something, or accept it. Everybody has their despairs, their sorrow. Without this given a place, you will stand still. In a shell, motionless. Once this shell breaks open, you can move forward again. In this anime, you will dissappear in that case. Because you have found peace, and no longer have to stay in that shell. I don't know why I wrote filosofical rambling, but if you've read it, I would appreciate it if you gave me your honest response. It might teach the both of us a little more of this world, for that is my goal.

Don't worry AngelBeats is too complex emotionally to stay impassive. As for me I cry a lot (more than ever for a story) when I see the end of the anime, and just the song of Iwasawa is very powerfull emotionally. U are impressed by this anime ? U're a good person I think. (Excuse my bad english it's hard to tell every things I want in a language that's not mine (I'm french)).

Yep. When its obvious about some things, these things are not talked. It is like when you ask "Are you alright?" and get the answer "Yes". if you want to know how to spell using katakana and hiragana, you can look them up in wikipedia. It really helps. It even teaches you some grammar. and yes; watch anime with tons of subs helps A LOT. (you need to watch a LOT though; almost to otaku level, like me :P)

Yuzuru got "lost" because of his amnesia, so it took him longer to realize that he had to go to purgatory school. OR that purgatory exists outside of time so people can drop in from diverse times (assuming that they are from a time when a high school like that would exist. Purgatory schools like this one probably exist for past and future times if you accept this interpretation.)

I think she was there to meet him, so she could thank him for the life she was allowed to live because of his sacrifice. Cause if she had lived an entire life, well I don't think she would be the same age as him, which is why I have determined that this is a sort of intermediate area for her, so she can thank him for the heart, before she leads her own life.
