Nothing stands out about this band, same stuff I hear from wannabe’s. Typical Japanese band copying whatever American metal bands do because that’s supposed to be “cool.” 😵 Screaming is not artistic - you can’t even make out the lyrics, not to mention everybody sounds the same screaming, there is no art involved. True singers who can actually sing will not be caught dead screaming, sounding like others who scream because they can’t sing. Nothing to see here, moving right along. 🙄💯

Point of view... someday maybe you'll appreciate this. I like the frequencies that are bound to growling, goes well along guitar melodies and heaviness which forms melodic death metal (which is swedish by the way, american did death metal, but if that's just me etiquettes are not a way to categorize music ! each (almost) band is unique). Maybe try their older stuff which was more neo-classical, was from their old name/band thousand leaves.

@Himeji This definitely does not sound bad but the riffage sounds recycled from Thousand Leaves Blind Night Sorrow, although this album has another song with a similar title called Dead Blind Nightfall, sounds like Dead Night Blind so it also sounds recycled from the past. I've only heard these two songs, but based off these I think they are probably trying to revive their old sound.

If you don't like screaming, then what are you doing listening to metal? Also, if you do want to listen to metal without screaming, I'd suggest look up some power metal or progressive metal bands.

Screaming is a different expression, much the same way a horror movie is a different expression to a romance movie, both which can be artistic in their own way. It's not the same and good screamers are distinct: compare Cannibal Corpse, Insomnium, Dark Tranquility, Periphery, Carpathian Forest, Darkthrone, Death, Judas Priest, Children of Bodom, and now Thousand Eyes whose style is absolutely essential to conveying their sound and would not work otherwise. It is also very difficult to pull off effectively. Much like I wouldn't dismiss the work of opera singers for a different expression of extreme singing, I would not do the same with screaming. Both are really hard. And besides, Thousand Eyes sound is pretty foreign to the American one. They employ power metal esc neoclassical techniques to At The Gates metalcorey style melodeath and only in that latter half might they sound similar. Only other band to do something like that in the west is Children of Bodom. So if they are copying something, it's not really something I've heard.
