Dues are only worth paying if your employer is a d*** , in which case why did you stay so long? There was a time in history where Union demands made were for *real* employee safety and well-being* and absolutely needed. Now it's just about getting pure *wants* satisfied. I see unions as the same as old school civil rights leaders. irrelevant & grasping at straws to appear so. *ALOT* of the people on *strike* don't even work for AMAZON..so who are they going to strike against, when AMAZON cancels their *real* bosses contract?

What the heck is a teamster?
@EthelMaeHenderson4 күн бұрын
A Teamster historically referred to someone who drove a team of animals, such as horses or oxen, pulling a wagon or other equipment. The term originated in the 19th century and was commonly used during the era of horse-drawn transportation. In modern contexts, Teamster primarily refers to a member of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters (IBT), a prominent labor union in North America. The IBT represents a wide variety of workers, including those in transportation, logistics, warehousing, and other industries. While the union's roots are in organizing truck drivers and freight handlers, it has since expanded to cover workers in diverse fields. The IBT is known for advocating for workers' rights, fair wages, benefits, and better working conditions through collective bargaining and political activism.

Self-inflating your worth doesn't make a person more valuable, you're only more valuable when you bring in more money for the company.
