@hollyb6885 it represents an ancient ritual that was performed by the indigenous people of the area long ago. Except at that time, they sacrificed a live human to their gods as many ancient civilizations did. It represented being enlightened or some shyt. Seems stupid to me, but hey, if people want to do it, it's a free country. This event is several decades old. It started with around 250 people and has grown to over 70,000 this year. The burning part is just the fanaly. Mainly it's about being able to express your "art" in a free and non judgemental setting.

@markbrandon7359 small county judges are usually circuit judges. They travel court to court as there is no need to have an assigned one on a permanent basis. Scheduling a bond hearing is difficult during a holiday week. They might see him tomorrow or sometime this week. Until then, you sit in jail. Maybe next time, they'll think twice about breaking the law in a small town on a holiday week.

I heard that there are only ten rules for the event. One of them is “leave no trace”. I hope they realize that “burning” creates a carbon footprint. Is footprint trace?

Ceremonies are covered under religious freedom under the 1st Amendment of The Constitution. The Constitution trumps any Marxist conspiracy about ceremonies causing climate change through carbon emissions.
