Wondering if there are starfish at our beaches. Remember seeing them at Pasir Ris beach in my childhood in the 60s/70s
@LittleRedJungle4 ай бұрын
There are still starfish down in our beaches for sure!! 😊

cutest clean up crew ever! I agree, we should all do our part to protect the environment, it's not difficult to respect these creatures and their habitat while we enjoy observing them. Happy belated Earth Day!

They are truly real survivor.They just simply crawl themselves inside just any empty shell and call it home. 🏠
@LittleRedJungle6 ай бұрын
They've been using plastics as their homes too! Real survivors! But with the plastics... dk if it's a good or bad thing yet :(

Oh it's disgusting, if u been to beaches and you see really what is happening, theyre digging it up, burying them, capture, or even place on really dry land or somewhere people are walking and stepping on them. And their parents are just laughing and say eeee , oii dont.. But did nothing to prevent it.

I know right... I've seen some myself too - and even when you tell them about it, some will just shrug you off?

@@LittleRedJungle Yep. Pretty sad as these small creatures have no abilities to protect themselves from us both mobility and hidden ability. Sigh.. 😮💨

Wow, didnt know hermit crabs are that small, tbh i actually thought singapore doesnt have hermit crabs 😅
@LittleRedJungle6 ай бұрын
Yeah we found some big ones, but there were THOUSANDS of those small ones!! And haha they're more abundant than what most Singaporeans would think!!

Whoa thanks for the shoutout (I'm coenobitariz btw, using my alt account). I really enjoyed the video, and I really like your presenting style. Too bad there aren't any land hermit crab footages (other than my zoeas) but maybe that's and idea for another video? Like a part 2 of this video. I'm pretty certain there are beaches (and even inland forests) in Singapore that contain land hermit crab populations, and several species also, not just one. All in all, very well done on an informative and easy-to-digest video. It seems like you have a healthy views-to-subs ratio and that can only mean good things for the future of the channel. Subscribed!

Aye thank you for subscribing too!! And for all your kind words! I actually do have some land hermit crab - from a while back! But it didn’t match with the rest of the video. But like you said, good potential part 2 idea!!! ☺️🐚
