Thousands of US Marines Forces Deploys to the Philippines Sea, What's the US Preparing for?

Marines from the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit deployed to Philippine Seas as part of a readiness exercise with their counterparts in the Philippines.
The 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), currently aboard USS America LHA 6, with assets from the Palau Maritime Security Bureau, U.S. Coast Guard, and U.S. Navy, in the Philippine Sea
America, flagship of the America Expeditionary Strike Group, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit team, is operating in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations to enhance interoperability with allies and partners and serve as a ready response force to defend peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
The one-week training stint built ties and increased the countries ability to work together to defend peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific.
