My issue with this is that Oliver didn’t get revived. Eve basically has a plot device for an ability and mark/Eve gets revived. But not Oliver, who only got a donut. But Mark(I get it he’s the main char, but still) who got ripped in half, VERTICALLY, was still hanging on?

It was explained in the comic that too much time had passed between when Oliver was already killed and when Mark and Eve were left for dead. Mark was still barely alive along with eve. Her maxpowers only work when theyre still a couple seconds from death or a couple seconds past death.

Because based on Viltrumite phsyiology, they are able to process a single molecule of oxygen way more efficiently than a human body can thus the body is able to survive longer and harsher periods of harm which is why Viltrumites live for so long. The cells just process everything easily so they can survive longer. It was explained in one of the books that Robert Kirkman wrote. Thats why Conquest didnt die when mark smashed his head in, why Nolan survived his previous battle injuries and why mark survived after getting his guts cut open by conquest. Smart atoms or something like that id have to look thru my invincible collectionto find the viltrumite physiology. Got all the single issues. The second reason would be because plot armor lolol.

even if it just makes him further away from eve when her failsafe powers kick in, so that Oliver being unrevived doesn't seem as contrived would be good. She fixed Mark from far worse wounds. Eve is hard to write around at the best of times, but this scene didn't help establish any kind of measurable limit on her powers.
