I always knew he was good and really liked his sections in certain videos, but I don't think I really paid as much attention as I should have. There's something completely awesome about someone who has a career skating that loves it so much they continue to destroy themselves for it. That giant ollie down the double set is very scary and seems like something a new AM might try to get noticed, but Chima is a long established figure in the skateboarding world. This is that sort of footage I'll probably watch quite a few times more and really value his process. The trick selection is peak gnar tech (who else would do a switch tre that big) done on spots that are absolutely no joke.

I don't know if he will get SOTY, but this is definitely part of the year (so far) for me, with Kyle Walker coming second. That last ollie is TOTY. Two things I loved : finally lands that huge kickflip over the fence after getting bodied, decides it's not good enough and does another one, and when his friend shows him the photo/video of his ollie and he stands right up and tries again. Respect.

Bro I’m having like an enlightenment watching this man skate. I don’t think I’ve ever seen such sheer, unadulterated commitment as in a part like this. These sets are not even close to be something most human beings would ever consider jumping down. This man is HUCKING to the wind and most of the time landing like an absolute cat. I’ve been skating for just a few years at this point and I thought I had seen some shit, but fucking hell sitting here really putting myself in this mans shoes, I don’t know how I could do it. This dude is the definition of a skater.

As a 35y.o New South Welshman I don’t recall ever being to Martin Place. I Haven’t frequented Sydney very often, I have always known about the spot tho, seen clips/footage/magazines for nearly 2 decades, Martin Place features a lot, I wonder how many times he scoped that double set and what actually inspired him enough to believe in himself to give it a go one day, he’s conquered a mountain that’s for sure. Incredible

Watching this raw edit was like watching some crazy CGI fictional Michael Bay movie. I can't believe this is real. I've ollied off of stuff 1/3 this size and completely wrecked myself; blown out heels, knees, backs. How Chima can get up and do it over and over again is unhuman. The kickflip over the fence hang time is incredible. You hear the clack and you know the upper limit of time that a person can be in the air but his silence keeps going until BAM! I had no idea that wall was that high on the backside of the aquarium 180 too. This cut revealed some things we've been missing about the human psyche. All time hall of fame with Frankie Hill, Reynolds, and Martinez. SOTY. FO SHAY!
