The thing with Apples is that you get entranced by the smootheness and then realize how fucking hard he’s pushing into his tricks. Imo no one is better at making aggressive approaches and making it look like he’s gliding on ice. Fearless, beautiful, and inspiring. These types of legends transcend and have the ability to inspire outside the realm of skateboarding. That’s why i’ll always see skateboarding as art before sport or anything else. Yeah, I am high and over 35. I am just learning about the Nyjah signing.

I had many reasons for falling in love with skateboarding when I was 13 in the 80s. I remember the haircuts, the style, the music, the lingo and the attitude. I'm 50 now and I still love skateboarding for all those things. Thrasher for life!

Favorite skater of all time. I met him in Maui at a Volcom demo with Rowley. Great guy. He took the time to talk to me, just some 15 year old skate punk. Not rushed, too. He really made me feel like I actually personally got to hang and chill with him for a good few minutes.
