Nice to see you guys in Ct. where I live! And grew up have been all around the areas you visited! And my first Harley I bought at Brothers HD which used to be just up the street on Forbes Ave from that clubhouse…in February 87? Probably…a black 883 that I dropped the day I rode it out of the dealership cuz of sand on the road and it was carbureted so was a little delay in turning the throttle and accelerating….they replaced the left foot peg that broke off which was the only damage and I rode it for a year and Harley had a program that you could trade it in for a larger bike and get full value for it which I did and got a 1988 FXRS-SP in candy brandy wine…wish I had kept that bike….thnx for prompting my memories….

Just a tip that helped me teach my son how to wheelie is when you're trying to get the wheel up, don't "poke" your head and chest forward, try to keep your head and shoulders above your belt..... that might help Juan and Dom out. its a natural reaction to want to lean away from what you perceive as "danger"..... once my son stopped doing that, it helped keep the weight off the front end, letting it come up.

Juan needs to practice on a dirt bike . they wheelie easily & he can just focus on dabbing the brake . Keep going until the brake is second nature. Then he wont freak if it comes up to far , cause his instints will tell him he can drop it down when ever he wants.
