Thread Tension Gauges for Sewing Machines

This video show the use of a simple spring dynamometer for measurement of thread tension etc. on a sewing machine. Spring dynamometers are typically used for the physics class in primary school. They are cheep to buy and come with different hard springs in them. I recommend three types for sewing: 0-1 N, 0-5 N, and 0-25 N. Alternatively 0-2.5 N and 0-25 N.
I like a simple spring dynamometers better than a digital dynamometer, because you can easily see the variations in tension.
Dynamometers or scales are sold by many kinds of shops.
