Love it! Such great pieces. I sold a Coach Vintage saddle bag same as the one you got just a different color. Mine had a couple of pen marks and some wear, but it still sold for $100. I have a soft spot for vintage Coach 😊

Fun box! The Tory burch look good. The emblem on the inside (seen in older bags) should be substantial/thicker. The Tory burch on the zipper pulls is a great sign or sometimes they use a Tory circular logo for the zippers. The tag on the seam should be clear plastic or orange fabric. If the tag says “TBO” it came from the Tory burch outlet, but a lot of those designs are so similar to the retail that I don’t think it matters much!

Bonnie Cashin designed that style. I had one in an orange, and the brown dr’ style rectangle. Coach used to replace the handles for free!

Yahoo for vintage Coach! ❤️❤️❤️ I’m trying to place this style. It looks like a coach city bag, but looks smaller than the city bag. Let me know if you get stuck when you start comping it and I’d be happy to help out. The Coach creeds changed a few times on vintage Coach, the most important thing to remember is 1994 and after- the last 4 referenced the style number. But pre-1994 it was random numbers and the numbers didn’t mean anything. Why that’s important is if your bag was pre 1994, you’ll have to rely on google search or comparable to identify the style of the bag. And in my humble opinion, getting the proper name of the bag is important, both to comp it properly, and to allow Coach buyers to find it. And the color looks like bone to me. Gorgeous bag, but also unanimously determined by true vintage Coach fanatics to be the most challenging color to work on, and the most prone to color loss and hardest to color match. Still a stunning piece and you should do well with it. Make sure you disclose anything you put on or do to the bag, as Coach collectors care about that stuff. And stay away from any shoe polishes or doc martens wonder balsam and creams etc. true vintage Coach collectors are very particular, and less is more. 😉

Oh, and the hardware on that bag is solid brass…..they didn’t start using brass plated hardware until later. So the simplest way to make the hardware look better is to use a jewelry cleaning cloth. 😉👍🏻 you’ll be shocked how much it cleans it up!

@@lindsmclark definitely pre-1994 and style code creeds. Post 1994 the first three were a letter a number and a letter. Like B4C for instance. The B would be the month it was manufactured, so February. The 4 would be the year, so 1994, and the C would be the plant Code. Then the last four would be the style of the bag. Your creed number is just a random serial code assigned to the bag with no rhyme nor reason. It may be a city bag, but just looked small for a city. Check measurements against other measurements of city bags listed online. There are some FB groups online too. There’s one called Coach Counterfeits which is a great way to get into and free authentication, and they are incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. Congrats again!
