Same here. When I used to work nights at taco bell I had a drunken girl come up to the drive thru, and after placing an order she yelled "OH AND CAN I GET A PLETH....A PLETHORA!!! OF SAUCE PACKETS!!" It made me think of this scene. I also thought that girl was super adorable and funny.

Interesting. Google translate for "T'estás desquitando conmigo o qué chingados" is "You're taking it out on me..what the fuck". Which has taught me a useful phrase to use when traveling to Mexico: "Que chingados!" I hope Mexicans have a sense of humor when I joke "What the fuck" at random times...;)

This Is so great. Althoug we Mexicans wouldn't use the article "el" when talking peer to peer to that person. It Is used when wey referring to that person as a third party. I mean wey surely had talked yo him like this:"Why guapo?" Instead of "why EL guapo"?. Anyway this makes It even funnier. By the way guapo means handsome. Best regards.

Maybe beside the point that this is one of the greatest moments in cinematic history, but you might be interested to know that Tony Plana who plays 'Jefe' is an absolute mensch, a standup guy who is incredibly friendly and approachable, ready to share whatever wisdom (and there's a lot) that he has to impart.

This film is so impactful in popular culture. They named a political meeting after this film: The North American Leaders' Summit (NALS), called the Three Amigos Summit in english and Cumbre de Los Tres Amigos en español. I also use El Guapo as a morality question as in, "what would El Guapo do?" 😂

I had an English teacher in 10th grade who LOVED the use Plethora all the time. And either she was totally unaware of this scene or didn't like it; We joked about it every time she said the word sometimes quietly; sometimes out in the open and it made her so mad. XD

@sage007 It is "blurry" or "larger" or "thicker" because when only El Guapo is in the frame, it may have been a different shot or scene, and the cactus is far away and smaller. It also might be a different cactus than when you can see Jefe on the lower left corner. Yes, it might be intentional.
