I've seen an armadillo zoom in the wild. Just try sneaking over to pick one up (yeah, I thought that's what I'd do). I crossed an invisible boundary line and ZOOM! It was gone in a flash, just like in cartoons. Nothing but the shaking branches of a low bush to prove it had been and gone.
