Nice drill coach. I notice how the sweet science of the punches go together with the straight punch get u close in distance to use the hook. A lot people don’t understand the the 1&2 punches is for long range punches getting close to your opponent and 3,4,5,6 or short range punches when u close to your opponent.

Hello, I realy like your channel, amazing boxing analyses. I learn only through videos and yours realy helps my.. I have one question about work on tabs - tabs for jab and straight right are always farther then tabs for hooks which is oposite against heavy bag where is hook distance quite longer. Can you please explain this different? How to set up combinations on heavy bag correctly? THANKS 🙏

is it necessary to rotate on front foot when throwing left hook?.. I heard Joe Louis, Ray Robinson and few others have different way of throwing..
@WorldClassBoxingChannel5 жыл бұрын
Stoic Sage you can throw the hook rotating on the front foot or keeping it on the floor. When in closer to your opponent and when wanting to throw multiple hooks you should keep it on the floor. Leverage comes from the ground regardless. You can get more power on one shot if you rotate the front foot as long as you don’t become top heavy and lose leverage from the floor.
@WorldClassBoxingChannel5 жыл бұрын
Stoic Sage I explain this briefly in this video. kzbin.info/www/bejne/bHikkKaNo9OXm9E

Is it about preferences when it comes about keeping your rear leg on your toe and not flat footed ?
@WorldClassBoxingChannel5 жыл бұрын
It’s about reality not preference. Most coach to stay on your toes but it doesn’t happen that way. Regardless, we always end up supporting our stance with heel planted. We do get up on our toes periodically, but we don’t fight up on the toes the majority of the time like we are often taught. It’s a subconscious act! It creates stability and limits fatigue! Thanks.
