Thank you for filming these three Godess's in such rain but it gives the film a very special feel for my childhood memories when these beautiful creatures ruled.

Thanks for your comment. At the time I wasn't thrilled about the rain but that was because I was standing in it, watching it back I think it really adds something to the shot.

It is interesting how different the Deltic engine sounds from the class 37 or 40 motors..

Another cracking shot of Deltics! Never get tired of that noise! I think rain adds a bit of drama to the footage sometimes. Thanks.

Thanks David, I had to pull my coat up to protect the camera as it was that heavy but I agree, I think it's better with the rain :)

I wish trains nowadays made that sound, I love old diesel trains.

Thanks mate, I admit the weather was naff but I think it adds something to it as well with the convoy approaching out of the thick rain and disappearing back into it after it passes.

Thanks mate. I had to sacrifice my dryness and stick most of my coat over the camera but it was worth it in the end :)

Super vid Phil and I loved that long approach shot. You chose a great spot to catch them and the rain actually adds to the sight and sound of these great locos - thanks for sharing it and well done! Cheers. Ken PS: I took some vids of RSG in Ayrshire on 334 EMU drags - amazing loco - take a look when you have time.

Thanks Simon, while I didn't enjoy it at the time I think the rain really does add something to the shot that is missing on a clear and sunny day.

That's pretty much what I hope for, Manchester Victoria circa 1981 will do nicely for me if we end up in a "Life on Mars" like situation :)

Cheers Ken, It is a nice spot at Mills Hill but it can be busy with stuff coming the other way, the trees have gotten bigger too to make things tighter and I was happy to get them in the rain as it was something different even if it did mean sacrificing my warmth for keeping my camera dry ;)
