It is not the fulcrum upon which history turned, it's just a calendar dating system devised by a Christian monk Dionysius Exiguus in the sixth century, which he got wrong as in Jesus birth is dated to 6 - 4 bce. Many different cultures have come up with dating systems with the Mayan and Persian considered the most accurate. Barron's ability to talk rubbish is astonishingly brilliant.

I do appreciate you're hammering home the word 'fulcrum' and I do know you are a huge supporter of bishop Barron and I'm sure that's wonderful for you but sometimes what Barron says is ridiculous baseless propaganda and this is one of them. @ArmandoHajos What Bible are you reading? I have never heard of 2nd Joan. Did you mean 2nd John? I'm not asking because I want to start a debate or anything. I read what you wrote and I believe that you believe that there's no life after death. Atheists believe the same thing. But there's a lot of Christian people who believe that as well. I don't want to take away what you believe. I'm a disabled person in Ticket to Work: (which basically means that I am lucky when I am offered work, because everyone else gets offered work before I do) Because of my Faith, the Bible, and my disabilities as well as what I have overcome trying to find permanent work and trying to save up for a vehicle and because of what I have overcome actively pursuing my commercial driver's license with passenger endorsement, I believe that my soul will live after I die. Every day, I ask God to help me stay in a state of grace and to grant me the disposition of a person that He would want with Him in Heaven. Have a good Sunday, Mr. Armando.

As always, a powerful deeply relevant sermon from the good Bishop that I plan to listen to multiple times today because of the depth of the message. The first hearing gave me a desire to go deeper to the extent that God is willing to reveal more to me. As a systems engineer and holistic thinking, the Bishop's message about God briinging the strands of history (ours lives and that of all who ever lived - theodrama!) together as a revelation resonates deeply with me. While at grad school, I heard a professor say regarding our difficulty with probabilistic thinking that everything is deterministic. We just are not smart enough to make the connections. I believe these connections are God's revelation and it is wondrous when He reveals a connection to me that I was not privy to. To me, this is part of the theological virtue of hope and one leading me to stand erect and keep watch.
