This is correct. Jesus will first appear on the clouds and the rapture will take place Rev. 14:14-15. Rev 11:11-12 and declared in vers 15 of chapter 11. Then when He returns after the wedding supper of the lamb His foot will stand on the mount of Olives and split it in two Zach 14:4-11 and Rev 19:11-16. Most likely the 3rd temple won’t be built until the land form upon which it does stand is created. That happens by His foot standing on the Mount of Olives.

Also the 490 year prophecy was finished completely from the decree to approximately 3-3.5 years after Christ’s death and resurrection. Pulling parts of it ~2000 years into the future make the prophecy no longer 490 years but 2490 years. That is far more than 70 weeks for the prophecy. That would make the prophecy 355 almost 356 weeks. But it is not. Daniel 9 is 100% completed prophecy even if we do not completely know everything. The time limit for the prophecy was completed.

I apologize for making so many comments on one video, but I do want to say, Dr. Barnett, thank you for making so many wonderful, publicly available sermons. I live in San Diego county and there are many churches here, but I have yet to see any local sermon as powerful as your average sermon. It’s actually quite sad that so few (out of so many) even come close to what you deliver of the Word. See, I do not like organized religion whatsoever, but I LOVE the Word of God, and you actually preach the Word, even though we may disagree about the concept of a rapture. I have read the Bible cover to cover, and I am a strong believer in Christ, but I feel so many have it wrong, but you are unfortunately a very small percentage of pastors who I feel have it almost entirely correct (almost, because I disagree with rapture ideology). Anyway, I hope you can offer something to truly substantiate the rapture belief, but I don’t believe you can; I do most certainly appreciate your content and how true you stay to the actual Word of God. God bless sir, and yes, everyday I pray for God’s Kingdom to come and replace the failed governments of men; everyday I pray that God replaces our failed leaders and uproots these men and women of deception who promise only lies and even support things against God like abortion and transgenderisms, amongst other nonsensicalities, and to replace them and their follies with His Kingdom and His law. All temples of faith are temples of "living stones"; none a temple of lifeless graven stones, no not one. Lifeless temples of stone are the place for the lifeless graven images of false gods. The temple of Christ is built of living stones for spiritual sacrifice acceptable to God through Christ. The point is that a stone temple may not be necessary for the spirit of anti-Christ to stand in a holy place, whether in Jerusalem or Chicago. All that's necessary to fulfill this prophecy is for a deceptive and evil person to rise to the seat of power as an accepted but false "leader" of Christianity, one who then turns against Christ. Psalm 98 is a wonderful prophetic psalm that offers a "checklist" of where we are with respect to Judgement Day: "...The LORD hath made known his salvation: his righteousness hath he openly shewed in the sight of the heathen. ...": done. "...He hath remembered his mercy and his truth toward the house of Israel...": done. "...all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God. ...": done. "...Let the floods clap their hands: let the hills be joyful together before the LORD; ...": done/ongoing "...for he comes to judge the earth: with righteousness shall he judge the world, and the people with equity.": Pending. 3:25 - 3:29 has always been my argument against the literal taking of the 7 days of creation. The passage of time is an issue in the Bible that pretty much every church takes super literally, and questioning this idea, thinking critically about it, is taken as a big no no. I'm sorry if this may offend some here, but this is one area the church has gotten it really really wrong and needs to chill out over it.
