Dave Shutton has broken many major stories to Springfieldians for years. God bless him.

The first episode from "The Simpsons" I saw on German TV 30 years ago on January, 24th..and still I'm loving it.

“Get off your Soap box Simpson, do you know how much it costed to run for office?, more than any honest man can afford.” Such truth from this old cartoon, love the Simpsons.

Fun fact: The song Mr Burns is singing while crying in his car is from the beginning of the great depression era when the stock market crashed in 1929

Hidden moral: Keep your relationship with your boss strictly professional. If Homer had ignored Burns and kept walking, Burns would have eventually cried himself out and gone home.
@rippalmer62962 жыл бұрын
Damn straight. Burns is an awful boss, and Homer at this time was just a man who wanted to survive.

@@rippalmer6296 Even if Burns had been a decent boss, it's still unprofessional for an employee to get involved in their employer's personal problems.

Mr Burns actually managed to make me feel bad for him... how the hell did that happen?!
@alisonpurgatory85 Жыл бұрын
@@EdnaK728 I came here from tvtropes thinking I would feel bad for him but I didn't, he could've kept the plant up to code the whole time but he didn't care at all, and still doesn't, so fuk him, and it wasn't even a 'rare moment of humanity' with him and Homer, Homer was terrified of him and could hardly speak honestly. Any humanity he had has disappeared up his capitalist ass, just like the real life people he's based on

I wonder, what happen to Mr. Burn afterwards, since he can’t be governor?
@sonicmastersword8080 Жыл бұрын
Nothing. Even if Mr. Burns had become governor, he would still have to deal with the representatives and the senate (Nebraska is the only exception to the bicameral legislature structure.) plus federal level regulations and procedure.
@codyshi4743 Жыл бұрын
@@sonicmastersword8080 Do you think Burn have to end up pay for all the regulations? Or will his nuclear power plant would just be shut down?

This is supposed to be a joke but corruption at this level is pretty common now. And ppl are dying earlier and earlier b/c of it.
