Those old D18s are sweeter than a cup of hot cocoa after shoveling the driveway.

I’m guessing on value here, but that’s the most beautiful $100k could ever sound.

Wow. Unreal. That AJ seems unbelievably loud.

I read that Advanced Jumbos back then were made with East Indian Rosewood. Is that the case or is it Brazilian? Nice playing!!

Both Martins sounded deeper to me. Thought the Gibson would be the bassiest of the bunch

Unreal tone/sound from each.I prefer the 38' D28 with the D18 2nd.....Is that a 1.5mm TS? Where do you get them?

Is this the one Mass Street was about to list for sale? (the 28) If so, this is the one I almost bought a few years back from Roody. Did you end up with it?

Yessir, she’s found a new home. Who’s Roody?
@ansleythestewart Жыл бұрын
@@chillmonroe2672 Wild. Roody was that guitar's second (and longest) owner, and who I would've been buying it from. How much of the history of the guitar do you know? It's a pretty neat story if you're not familiar. I did a bunch of research and tracked down the original owners' current family and stuff, and they were really nice - even sharing stories and photos they knew of it from back in the day.

Dang dude, I’d love to hear more about that. I sent you a DM on the instagrams 🙏

I thought the AJ had more midrange and oh that Gibson growl on the low end.

Put some phosphor bronze on that d28 and it will sound like heaven with that gibson with 80/20 playing them together with a pickin buddy

Gibson has that nasally woody tone compared to the more open Martins. The D18 hits that middle ground for me
