Awesome, rare and crude garage rocker on Champ!! Don't know jack about the band, but the Champ label was based in Johnson City, Tennessee. Edited: The band was from Pulaski, Virginia. Audio transferred from original vinyl 45.

I must say that I love your record and to me it’s ahead of it’s time. In the 70’s there was a lot of do it yourself pop groups that had a similar sound to this. Do you have any recollection of the recording or any gigs you did back then? Would love to hear some background info! Your record is a real collectors item within record collectors of 60’s garage bands and your music is loved by many!

when in the 60s was this if you can remember ? sounds like the later half of that decade to me! this is an excellent little 45, makes me wish you guys had gotten the chance at a full length or at least an EP!

I’m a record enthusiast, collector and rock musician from Boston and this is the first time hearing your old band’s record, for a 14 year old that’s pretty damn good! There were hundreds of high school age kids who formed bands, many who cut a record or two then disappeared. Many of these are as great as anything the more widely popular, commercial groups were, and sometimes more so.

The effect of this guitar is a pearl! Even if it's a supposed limitation of the recording, this song is very special. The boys did a great job!

It’s amazing that James Clark (my cousin, Jimmy) lead guitar (vocalist on Sad Lovers Live Today) was only 16, Mike Bond on bass (vocalist on That’s What I Say was 14, and drummer, Danny Boggs was 16 if I’m not mistaken. Jimmy has been in several bands throughout the years, until recently. I’d love for The Three From There to have a reunion! I’d be there! I’ve always idolized Jimmy.

@@Glendoras That was the only record they made. They won a talent show at Pulaski High School. (There were several boy bands there, thanks to the "British Invasion".) Anyway, the best I remember (I was 6 years old), the 1st prize was getting to go to Johnson City TN to cut a record. I need to ask Jimmy if he has more copies. He lives 3 houses down from me in Dublin VA. I really appreciate your sincere interest!

@@larrybralley1942 That must have been amazing, a dream come true for the band to win a recording session and release a record! If he doesn’t already know, tell him there is a younger generation who really likes the record and that it’s a collectable gem among fans of garage rock. It has been compiled on a popular LP volume called Teenage Shutdown with other similar bands. I live in Stockholm, Sweden, and got the 45 through eBay a few years ago. I sometimes play That’s what I say when I DJ around the bars in Stockholm. I bet they never saw that coming when they released the 45 some 54 years ago! 😉

@@Glendoras so you are Swedish? Long live the unsurpassed Creeps! World's greatest following is here in Greece!!! (Their funk, soul etc work is just as top, besides the garage). " We are personally extremely happy when a band from a country other than the US or UK makes it big time" Robert Jelinek. RIP Hans Ingemasson musical genius and all (3 more days). And what was that movie with that great tune Dom Kellar Is Mods? Crazy tune!!! Long line Sweden and Finland ( rautalanka, iskelmä and anything goes). Thanks, huge thanks for everything Glendoras!!!

@@Glendoras Crude, raw, gritty, unrefined garage. Mojo, it's not the first time a record label screwed up the spelling of a band's name. I've noticed that labels get the name right, but include apostrophes when there shouldn't be any or they don't include an apostrophe when there should be one. Sometimes you may not notice it right away. It's a small technically, but it's an error none-the-less. Someone else left a comment that the correct name should have been Three From There not Three From Three You can see how they reversed the "e" and the "r" An easy mistake, but unacceptable. You wouldn't want your name spelled Mooj Mathias in the credits on one of your songs. Cheers, Mojo
