Fun fact: Donnie actually DOES modify his staff so a blade pops out of the end in the 2012 show, hence why it's included with the figure. As for the 2003 series, I have ZERO idea but it's funny as hell.

I remember owning ALL the TMNT 2003 figures when I was a wee lad. Good times. They're long gone now, but I would pay good money for fully posable high quality ones like the NECA line of figures based on those ones especially. May look into the Revoltech 2012 ones really soon.

14:08 I am almost certain that the toyline advertised it as the naginata weapon, and not the kung fu pu dao. I know this because when i was really little i collected the 2012 toyline, and at least on the ones i had, the types of weapons (i think on the weapon rack, i could check because i keep the empty boxes but I'm too lazy to check my storage) were on the back of the packaging. Naginata stood out because that was one of the first non-English words I'd seen written out. EDIT: on turtlepedia.fandom.com/wiki/Naginata it confirms that it is the naginata, also sorry if i sound like an annoying incel reditor nerd, i just remembered this really specific detail from my childhood

Actually the 2012 Donnie does have a blade in his staff and he has a bottom to trigger it, But the 2003 I have no idea. Also give me questions about 2012 TMNT and I will answer truthfully like: Leo does have a dagger it is in the handle of his katana the only episode I recall him pulling it out in is (Spoiler alert) the episode when Shreder aka (Oroko Saki) throws him through the window of April's house and his voice gets damaged (witch was basically a "nice" way of saying new voice actor) along with pretty much everything else.

If i remember correctly in 2012 there was one scene where doinnie did have a retractable blade on his staff because in one episode they thought splinter was dead so one of them was going to poke him with his staff and then a blade shoous out the end and almost hits him

Gee TMNT 2012 was my favourite thing from age 5-7, and the toy line was the thing me and my best friend always used to obsess over. I remember one time I found an action figure of the guy that got turned into a giant spider monster and I was showing it off to my best friend the next day as we didn't even know a toy of him existed.

8:05 speaking of which this should’ve been the season 1 finale and lone Raph and cub should’ve been the beginning of season 2 but no instead turtles in space is the beginning of season 2 and it honestly just doesn’t feel like it. It would be like if x men season 2 ended with out of the past and the Phoenix saga and season 3 began with no mutant is an island then the dark Phoenix saga and it just feel too long to watch like you just aired 23 episodes in one season the least you could do is give us the audience a break like this is the equivalent to making a movie too long with too many scenes that go nowhere I’m not saying any of these don’t go anywhere it’s just you could’ve saved this stuff for season 2 when the audience has had time to breathe and digest everything that happened in the first season (uh did I go off topic.... oh well🤷‍♂️)
