Three Godless Decisions that Make Life Miserable -Genesis

There are some awful decisions which, once made, make life miserable. In the biblical record, there is a man named of Esau, who made some really poor decisions in his lifetime. Esau’s decisions made his parents, Isaac and Rebekah, despise their own lives. This is what happens when you make choices which are not based on pleasing God. The truth is this: Godless decisions make for a miserable life.
Genesis 26:34-35 is a very short passage of Scripture, but just like all of the Bible, it is full of the infinite wisdom of God. In this text we see a few of Esau’s godless decisions, specifically those concerning his marriage, or more accurately, his marriages. First, Esau chose to marry women who were easy to find, but not the women who were pleasing to God. Second, he chose to marry too many women, instead of uniting himself with one women for a lifetime. Then, to top it all off, the women Esau married were just down-right mean. There are many principles we can and must learn from Esau’s godless decisions.
