I think the thing that pisses me off the most about the chipped ball placement argument is the "BUT MUH CHAINS" people. Like, a chipped ball would literally just give a precise placement of the ball at the exact moment a runner was down, from which they can then STILL JUST USE THE CHAINS to determine if said ball placement results in a first down. There is literally zero downside if a precise enough system is in place.

I am so happy that the word "Purdy" can be said without being followed by a 20 minute rant about the 20 something year old kid who went to back to back NFC Championships in his first two years and how hes apparently really awful and definetly punches babies and old people in his free time. The developmental league is college football. You don't have many players in nfl playing into their deep 30's or 40's (outside low impact roles like punters kickers QB's) like you do in other sports that would allow for a guy to cook in a minor league role and then come up to the nfl.
