Three Historic Pubs In Manchester

I'm 66 & on my way out. Born & bred Mancunian. Used to be a heavy drinker but never been in those 3 pubs. The lass & the Pevril have always been on my bucket list. So Thankyou sir.

Cracking video Dad goes to show back when these pubs were built. They were made to last and made by incredible architects, unlike the microbreweries and pop-up bars that you see today in town.

3 classic pubs plus the Salisbury( ex wilsons house). which I frequented when I was 16 at Manc Poly. The back room in the BP we used to meet in the 80's when our printing union was on strike for 8 weeks. Great pub. Saw the well on DM vid, love the pissstone history 😂..loved that vid Steve, cheers pal...sluuuuuuuuuuuuuurrrrppp 🍺👍😊

Great vlog really enjoyed it . Have frequented all those pubs including the Salisbury. If you enjoy traditional Lancashire pubs , can I recommend you vist the White Lion in Westhoughton. A very old holts pub which is a listed building. With the original tiled bar and fire places . It is in the top 100 places to visit according to Historic England. Ta for doing these vlogs ,really enjoy them.

All 3 great historical pubs of the world’s greatest city, been in all 3 many times, also shame you didn’t go in the Salisbury. My favourite pub in Manchester. On many Saturdays I’ll get off the train at Oxford Road, walking down the steps into the Salisbury for a few great pints of excellent ale, before going on to watch the worlds greatest football team. MCFC Champions. Good vid mate.

@@theparadoxclub1326 we popped in the other week on a saturday, right in the middle of the day and there was only a couple of folk in there. straight up to the terrace although the skyscraper next door has ruined it a bit. No guinness though, you have to get the house stout

Been in all of these pubs many times over the last 60 years. Wouldn't recommend any of them. Last time I was in the Lass, memorable for my shoes sticking to the floor. Pevilil should have been demolished at least 50 years ago, apart from the Green Tiles has nothing to offer. The Salisbury is just another past its best Manchester crummy boozer. They are just pubs. Thanks however to who made this.

Adolf Hitler was not a fan of the midland hotel or Rochdale town hall. I wish people would stop saying so it's not true. However excellent video of pubs I frequent
