Quinta Essentia Quarteto

O quarteto de flautas doce, Quinta Essentia Quarteto, apresenta Jenny´s Chickens, Codail a leanbh, The Gartan Mother´s Lullaby, King William´s Rambles.

This is the video that inspired me to take recorder lessons. It's been 1 1/2 years now. I had been thinking of playing Irish, Scottish and English lessons on the fiddle but the learning curve was too big for my age and it cost way to much to rent-to-own a used violin. So I forgot about it for 4 years and then I saw this video with the music I like played on recorders, so I looked into it and have been happy playing recorder since then. Thanks so much!

Pam...There is a lot of material out there if you read sheet music.Check out Sarah at Team Recorder too.If you don't read, try the slowdown feature (the gear shape in the bottom corner of youtube vids). The tempo slows but the pitch stays normal.

The tone of these members of the recorder family remind me of a calliope, in a way. I had never heard the contrabass, until today. Really enjoyed this group's cohesion--tonally, rhythmically, dynamically, stylistically (including articulation). Thanks for the upload!
