Just wanted to pipe in and say thank you for all the work and guides,geniunely. I'm relatively new, following Pohx's RF Chief, but using your Atlas trees. Started spamming betrayal till my first veiled orb then switched to red altar/strongbox today. Mostly alch and chisel, but juiced up 3 maps with scarabs,alch,vaal,chisel etc and by the end of the day I had like a net gain of 600c, 2 divs dropped from a strongbox and got a valdo's puzzle box, which I sold. If I end up sticking around without burnout, your Toxic Rain build looks very appetising :)

Came back for affliction on PC for maybe 200 hours, and then came back again for this league, and I can say with absolute certainty that I had no idea what was going on(mostly crafting) for all 3 leagues lol. It really is amazing how people can put in thousands of hours and still be learning things about the game. Makes me even more excited for POE 2.

prices a bit wonky this league not sure if they would stabilize. for eg last league einhar memory of harvest beasts and veiled orbs were like 10-15div but they are only like 1-2 div now. dropped 1 einhar memory of harvest beasts and was very happy thinking it was 10+ div like last league but alas it was not.

In regards to strongbox for t16, I recommend using Discernment over 1 of the basic scarabs anyway, the diviner's boxes can roll a lot of currency div cards for things like raw chaos/gumball currency you will use or sell big bulk. Things like having an easy time getting your GCPs, Scours for general use/fishing for Adorned (gonna do this with a friend soon). It feels like better minimum rewards turning in the cards, and you will see some big ticket drops for things like exceptional gems/multi divine cards. These are also very liquid just like scarabs. A note on the unique boxes, they are mostly meh save for either the arcanist and cartography boxes (singular focus keystone converts the maps into currency). Haven't got any real rewards out of them outside of the dedicated uniques and are usually just a time sink.

On Strat 3: When you juice up the rare mobs, wouldnt it make sense to add like a mechanic with a lot of rares? Like Harby or smth? Or do the rares added via league mechanics have their own (worse) drop tables?

for the strongbox strat its probably best to run on a map that "does not have a boss". Jungle valley or mausoleum. you can abuse red altars super hard with that and chisels are expensive as hell this league.

@@markantwn7189 if you can’t do red maps then you seriously need to rethink your entire build. Basic red maps should be fine for even new people as long as they didn’t just pick random passives, skills, and gear. Any build guide should get you to red maps at least.

I personally. got about 10 div worth of carbs and other odds and ends that don't sale on console. Also all gear either doesn't exists or is more then 5 x as expensive. Pretty well SSF with you being able to buy very small pool of items for 5x to 10 x the normal cost. If I was playing on PC this league I be way further but my friends no longer play PC games so….

Hello, thanks for this. I wondered if i can use x2 adversaries scarabs in the device or will it mess with the mechanic? So far im on my 6th map using the back2basics strategy but im not getting anything yet so far. Plenty of basic currencies and stuff. Also im not getting any rogue exiles even though i have used the Anarchy mod in map device, aren't they those unkillable things that spawn many mobs?

You can use 2 Adversaries scarabs if you want. Rogue Exiles are just evil exiles, dudes that look like players and use player skills.

You want to full clear harvest maps for eldritch altar mods that give quant. You *could* rush it on a map like Mesa, it would work, but probably not as good currency-wise.

I tried the Blue Altar farm with the 2b2b method and in 10 runs got 1 run where the boss yielded 9 divines and 1 run where mobs cumulatively printed 38 divines in a single map. I either hit the lottery or this just blows red altars out of the water.

How is harvest in t16s? right now its around 7-8 div for 50k yellow juice which is great for guys farming t17s but is it ok in t16s. I loved harvest in affliction so was wondering is it still good.

(Sorry I wrote a lot) is the strongbox mechanic worth if I do t16 maps with 4 extra slots to add scarabs and with the ambush scarab prices? (10 c each) Because I've tried a couple of runs and I was losing money :/ if it is not worth what would you recommend me for t16? I do 4.5mill dps on PoB (LS Warden) but I don't know if I can complete t17 maps. Didn't get all voidstones and haven't tried to kill all the bosses yet. Only two voidstones

Strongboxes definitely work as a t16 farm strat. You will definitely want to finish your voidstones before moving onto t17 maps.

bit of a shame the cornucopia scarab is around 40-45 chaos each right now makes it a small gamble since if you dont get say 2-3 unique plots atleast then you are probably not gonna get enough juice to even cover the cost let alone make a profit

Mapper's Choice. Dunes is good, Mesa is easy for boss rushing and has a good div card. Scry it to Dunes when you can.

Best to do it on jungle valley or any maps that block boss altar, just minion and player. Harvest is also good. But you want to spec to blue altar instead

@@Gazer1990 altars show 2 options,boss related,player related,eldritch minion related. boss side adds loot to the boss and makes boss harder,player related gives player debuffs but also increases quant/rarity. eldritch minion related only boost these and give them extra drops. for red altar the good extra drops are obv chaos,glasblowers,chisels,strongbox scarabs,anulls,etc so with red altar,you basically only choose the eldritch minion related ones,bc they give a shit ton of currency while the downside aint that hard. the quant/rarity downsides are brutal (1200 chaos dmg/s while using a flask or some shit) some are okay,if you are burning ground immune you can snatch a dupe scarab or currency but other than that its eldritch minion related as the best option. however. if the boss is alive and on the map (jungley valleys boss for example isnt really on the map when you enter and only spawns later) when you kill the mobs and an altar appears then there is a huge chance you only get boss or player related buffs/debuffs and since we want minions,its better to kill the boss first,bc then it has to spawn minion and player related mods only. so you can always choose minion. on jungley valley,where the boss isnt there at the beginnig,you can clear your map without rushing the boss and still benefit from the minion altars all the time. hope this helps :)

@@Gazer1990 click on the option that affects red altar minions instead of the player, bcs they make it so red altar minion packs drop all kinds of pure currency aka embers, chaos, unmaking orbs etc. So red altar minion option > money. Blue altars are for stacking quant on our characters

There are div cards that only drop at higher levels. Gear will have better stats. Quant is higher. Map drops will be higher tier.

It just sucks this league's economy is so lame. 12c each for a regular ambush scarab now? Like all the problems people had last league with t17's were NOTHING compared to the current state of poe. Now you basically HAVE to farm t17s to make any decent currency. As a late league starter, I can't afford scarabs, can't afford t17 maps, and all the old ways of making divs last league in t16s are like 1 div an hour now lol. Insane GGG.

Check for yourself maybe since you and a few other posted this method, the prices skyrocketed, however that IS the world we’re living in. @@ericayy9598 try anarchy set up in lower tier 5-6 maps (rogues tend to be rippy) until you get strong enough for red maps for it. Set up your map to have every quant/rarity scarab drop chance nodes taken, all rogue exile nodes, and take the twisted fate node. This will save a lot of time trying to craft 8 mods. The only thing you have to worry about randomly rolling is reflect, which you can mitigate with yugul pantheon+sibyl ring. All the other map mods don’t really matter because at low tier, you can’t get shitty ones like no regen. The scarabs needed don’t cost that much: anarchy, titanic, and titanic legend. Use elder influence/influenced hordes when you get 6 slot map device.

If you want profit without investment you can just run Expeditions (check the Atlas guide on maxroll) and you have a few divines/hour method right there. You can also juice it up a bit with minimal investment or just alch and go, wont be the most profitable strategy ever but you'll build a solid currency base in little time. You can also craft yourself decent stuff through Rog.
