Sleeping Dragon and hidden phoenix saying should be not Zhuge and Pangde but Zhuge and Sima. Sima had to hide the whole time to save his own feather and he rised again after every deadly defeat. He is the hidden Phoenix. Pangde died to ambush because Lu Bei wont listen. Such ashame.

So much to say on this. Zhuge Liang's brilliance was thwarted only by one of the most potent examples of Murphy's Law. As much as I am a fan of the Shu Kingdom, I must admit that Shu's fall was inevitable, due to the passing of great warriors and Liu Shan's lack of vision for the realm.

Nah. Although it was a heavy blow, Shu still survived. Its downfall IMO was liu shan and jiang wei making bad decisions during jiang's expeditions.

very true, its sad because had everyone followed thru on Zhuge Liangs plans from the beginning they would have restored the Han. if Guan Yu hadn't got prideful and kept peace with Wu they would still have Jing and have been able to bring troops and supplies up North.had Liu Bei not lost those 700,000 then who could have stopped KongMing from accomplishing what he set out to do? truly a great strategist and loyal servant was lost here, saddest part of the story , but a great life lived!

The Fall of the Shu Han is when Liu Bei wants to conquer Wu in my opinion. If they have that 700,000 + 300,000 from Hanzhong and Cheng Du, they could have conquered the realm from the north.

Why so many generals loyal to Sima Yi than Cao family because Cao Rui only give high position to family (Cao and Xiahou) making talented but come from lesser family general doesnt have change to get fame and fortune because all credit went to Cao and Xiaohu, like this after Sima Yi succeded repel shu, Cao Rui immediately change the Grand Comander to Xiaohu Ba, Sima Yi in other hand knows his general and know how to use them to their glory

They could see very well how the likes of Cao Zhen and Cao Xiu only want to exploit their labor and sacrifice, while elevating only themselves to ever higher honors and ever more riches, only to themselves.. Sima yi on the other hand is like a father to the army: he's stern, he's strict, but he's also fair, and he does his best to protect and preserve the lives of the soldiers and keep them safe, he rewards the men and appreciate their dedication. Even if liu bei accepted that proposal, Quan would of attacked again with wei anyways. Wu is closer to reinforcing jing then shu is. Easy to take back whenever they wanted.

agree. By killing Guan Yu, Wu had destroyed all faith with Shu. Rather than having an already proven treacherous 'ally' at Shu's flank, a better idea would be to destroy Wu entirely. Yiling is not a mistake. Yiling become a mistake only because Liu Bei lost.

That was not the fall of Shu Han, however, it was a great blow to their military power...Nonetheless, even if all the Wu lovers hate on Liu Bei for that, I'd say, we would have all done the same in his place, and many other people above us in both wisdom and bravery would have done the same too, if we had been constantly betrayed time and time again, and the 2 most important people in our lives were taken from us and killed...Anyone would want revenge...Probably even Zhuge Liang would...
