Like any other villain, Morrison is avaricious, greedy, anti-social. Armed by his goons who do the rounds of intimidation and threats and commit acts of violence, he is the land-grabber, money-cheat, and loan-shark. Morrison, with his batch of ruthless mercenaries, holds several people's lives to ransom. But in the end, he is brought to justice. That is so in these Western/Cowboy films. How I wish the same ending be true in reality... Unfortunately, the handful of such characters occupy seats of power and authority and flout vulgar riches and useless opulence. Sometimes, they get elected and rule us. At other times, they are industrialists, Corporates, philanthropists - whatever... The few who challenge them are not afforded opportunities in mass media. They are easily branded as traitors and advised to uphold patriotism, i.e unquestioning loyalty to the ruling coterie... What a paradox!

It might have been better if the people of that town slowly are attracted to the idea of joining together under the leadership of the protagonist, take secret shooting practice that results in a final showdown of confronting the villain Morrison and his gang. Anyway, at least the conscience of the people is at last aroused while in Church hearing the shooting outside and some choosing to join the protagonist in his otherwise lone fight for justice. That indeed is the saving grace...

When a bunch of bad guys chase Rudy and the sheriff, at about 33:3 minutes, they injure the sheriff and then ride past them for no reason. That gives Rudy time to shelter the sheriff behind a convenient rock. Then Rudy's previously-confiscated pistol suddenly appears in his hand, allowing him to shoot two and chase off the rest.
