Such a great insight to scale mastering ! On the passing under or over of the thumb i often tell myself that i must not stop at the problem but just over it meaning - i play cdef (ascending RH) and make sure that all the sounds, especially e and f, are smoothly connected as opposed to stopping at e of cde. It worked fine for me

Excellent instructions. The best I’ve found so far on Ytube

I think it’s important to note that Pablo is using small In and Out movements when playing the Mozart which are not discussed in this video. Because the fingers are different lengths, playing will feel easier when the hand and forearm move together slightly OUT towards the body to play finger 2, then slightly OUT to play finger 3. The hand and forearm move back IN towards the fall board to adjust for both fingers 4 and 5. These adjusting motions are very small but if you watch Pablo they are there just not discussed.

I saw a demo where Jacob Collier beat 31 vs 32 with each hand on his chest, and you could actually hear the interval progressing one through the other, with the alignment at the end. It was nuts. I guess you can train yourself to do anything. That 4 to 3 and back instantaneous transition looks difficult, as well, to a lesser degree, probably. I expect doing instantaneous accurate transitions such as 3,4,5,6,7 or some such would be even more difficult. All of those upper level scales look basically nuts, to me. ;-)

Amazing... never seen anything like this before... It's like a culture shock😃. Thank you for this amazing teaching and demonstration. Do you have anything on ornamentations? Thank you🙂.

Excellent video on scales. I have actually never tried to go beyond 16th notes (4 per beat) to playing 5 notes per beat, 6 and 7. Not sure how hard that is going to be to do!

Hi Matthew! Are you satisfied with the GP-510?
@PianoTeachingPros
@PianoTeachingPros Жыл бұрын
Overall it is a good digital piano that engineered to mimic the grand key action and sound. For this price, we are very satisfied with the function and performance. However, the resonance and pedaling still could not match with the high-end acoustic. Check our recording on a century-old Steinway, the sound is just amazing: kzbin.info/www/bejne/hZ2leqyJgbSFnLM - PTP team.

As shown in the video, you play a single rhythm first, one hand, then switch to another hand with a different rhythm. I know it sounds easy but difficult to do ...
