Three members of a U.S. Marshals task force shot and killed near Charlotte, officials say

Authorities say that a U.S. Marshals task force was serving a warrant at a home near Charlotte, N.C., when they were fired on. In addition to the three who were killed, five others were wounded, including four Charlotte police officers. Michelle Boudin of WCNC reports.

The problem is statistically more shootings will happen during vehicle encounters or open air encounters as opposed to a structure. Vehicle and open air takedown put potentially a lot of innocent people at risk

It seems the shooter most likely engaged them from defensive cover with a high power semiautomatic rifle, while they were stacked up in or leaving a choke point, most likely a hallway upon initially entering into the house. Either way he could shoot.

That was a U S Marshall operation not CMPD. The guy wasn't even from Charlotte. Don't try to blame black police Chief because the US Marshall's were anything but elite and got taken out. Acmpd officer got killed responding as backup who had nothing to do with it. The Marshall's caused their death, cmod officer death and injuries of all other officers.
