38:47 for those unaware (Hank The Tank streamer included), the reason this failed was because the phone tells you a shells position based off THE CURRENT SHELL. In this case, he used a beer to remove shell #1, so when the phone was used right after, the game said the shell after the current shell was a live. This means his current shell was blank and the last two was live, and since the Dealer’s turn wasn’t skipped, Case quite literally threw his easy win out the window here.

So here’s how the turn shouldve went given how he played -He uses his phone first and it reveals the last shell is blank -He beered, removing the first shell, a blank, making it three shots left -He popped adrenaline for another phone, which told him the second shell is a live. Since there are three shells in the gun at the time of use, this means shells 3-4 were live and his current shell was a blank -He shoots himself, then uses his other adrenaline to steal a knife to deal 3 damage total with the last two shells, winning him the round. The lack of understanding how the phone worked costed him his adrenaline and two health states and prolonged the game. The game did not lie to him, he just misunderstood the phone’s mechanics and screwed up because of it. Not saying this to harp on him, as a LOT of people don’t seem to catch on to how the phone works (I fell for it a fair bit myself until I found out later, same with the inverter, which i thought inverted every shell in the gun, not the current one), just explaining the situation since Case and quite a few chat members freaked out when the second shell overall in the gun wasnt live like the phone said, but rather the second one in the gun’s current position

Nah that's extremely ridiculous, that's on the developer, not the players. NOBODY is going to be able to put in the missing piece of dialogue that the developer LEFT OUT, being "from this current shell". If it just said "second shell from the current shell is a live" for example, that would be clear, but THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE WORKS so that "second shell" LITERALLY MEANS second shell in the ENTIRE GUN PERIOD! Up until that point where the phone spouted misleading nonsense, I was wondering if the phone was an item restricted only to the first turn, and now I see that it basically IS!

​@@lonejohnwolfthe phone is a piece of technology. It detects the second shell of what's in the gun. It doesn't count for the shells fired out of the gun already because they aren't in the gun, thus the phone can't detect them.
