Yes, Matt is an amazing at teaching. I have his jazz book plus the Ray Brown transcript, and his CD and I enjoy them a lot. His lessons are approachable to many levels, and might feel like short videos but I do get lots from them when I watch them for a 3rd or 4th time, always.

Loved this shout out to these bass teachers. Matt and Anna I was already following and they’re excellent. Jacob is new to me, and I’ll have to go check his channel what a cool technique!

Thank you so much for those wonderful discoveries. Listenning while drinking my morning coffee, gives me motivation for my day of practice !

Jason, thank you so much for the wonderful podcast (my point of entry), website, videos and email newsletter. You connect us to so many great resources, people and music. You've got a great spirit and curiosity about all things bass. All that said - I am a fan! - I would encourage you to take your advice at 13:00 to keep it short. I find myself skipping through a lot of small talk and overlong introductions and worry I'm missing something (and also, weirdly feel I'm being rude to you who put so much into this work). Thanks, and again, love your stuff!

Anne is amazing as well, one of the last videos in the wild with the mech metronome. All of the series on posture and stress, and of course the series on how to solo on one note that is building up from there.

Excellent content as always Jason! I love your work. You manage to keep me engaged on longer videos, and I generally have a short attention span. Thanks for showing us some other great DB U-tubers! I just went and subscribed to them all. If you say they're good, that's enough for me. 🎵🎶😊

Thank you so much! It’s fun for me to discover other DB video makers like these three folks!

Hi Jason, I'm a big fan of your KZbin channel. I studied with Szymon Marciniak in Germany and I'm also producing content for KZbin. I'm Brazilian so I produce my videos in Portuguese. I'm very happy to see that you are producing a video to promote other channels that talk about double bass. You're helping to grow our community of double bass players around the world. Thank you very much! :)

Very nice! But your constant stream of great content is interfering with practicing..."you can't learn to ride a bike by reading about it!" I love that you're expanding your reach (and ours) to other channels. Break a leg with the symphony next weekend!
