Three New Species In One Hunt?! | Duck Hunting 2023 (Mixed Bag)

On my recent trip to South Dakota, we were lucky enough to find a giant feed of ducks and snow geese hitting a corn field that we had permission to hunt! We headed there the next morning with layouts, a snow goose spread, and some very high hopes. We picked off a mixed bag of mallards, wigeon, and teal before the geese started flying, but once they got off the roost there was a steady stream of geese working our decoys. It was an incredible morning watching the snow geese put on a show for us! Hope you enjoy!

Somebody needs to get a new Wigeon whistle. The sound they were making was wayyyy too deep. Awesome video!!

Thanks brother! That was my wigeon whistle, it's a great whistle for the mallard drake call but falls a little short for wigeon

I've always wanted to try eating all those to see which ones are the best. We don't get them here except for on the big money farms.

The speck was definitely the best but the snows weren't far behind! Hope you can get a few this season so you can do a taste test for yourself and report back on your preference!

I believe it was just a juvie blue goose that was starting to transition to having a white head. Still a really cool looking bird though!

I mainly use the Sandisk Extreme ones. You're probably running into issue with the write rate on your cards not being high enough. You want to have at least 100 mb/s for the Hero 10s

Wigeon can be weird around motion decoys. It could have been those spinners that they didn’t like.
