Great job Denise! I love how you put the camera on the shelf so we get an up close view of how you're arranging things.

I try to give you as much detail as I can! Glad you liked it. Filming in that pantry is no joke. It's small and dark so I'm glad it worked for you. What tip are you going to try?

The tip on using bay leaves and bay oil in the storage areas was new information for me. Many thanks 😊

@@homemakingwithdenise Definitely the bay oil and giving everything a good scrub. Also, I loved how you organized like with like on your counter before putting stuff back so you could see what all you had. Really great tips. That camera on the shelf really got me thinking on how things look. Thanks for doing the hard work with the camera for sure. It’s what really got me thinking about how important the “prep work” is before putting stuff back.

I look forward to your videos! I check every day after work to see if there’s been a new video uploaded! You calm me… I’m a lot like you with organization and I’m modest like you too. There’s not many of us! You’re a blessing to see! Thank you for being out there!

Keeping cake type stands is a good idea for homes with elderly or disabled people. You can put the meal plate or bowl on the cake stand for people who have to use weighted flatware and have trouble bringing their hand to the mouth from a table level plate or bowl.

Denise, you did a great job of cleaning and organizing your pantry. life will be so much easier for you if you take those small seasoning jar and items and put them in a basket, and whenever you need something, just pull the basket out verses, reaching all the way to the back just to retrieve something.

I use my half gallon jars a lot for storing pasta, rice, and beans. I've got most of my kitchen reorganized - now it's time to begin my working pantry. Thanks for the inspiration.

I didn't know bugs didn't like the smell of bay. I have so many bay leaves now I know what to do with them. I like your Scottie container.. cute. I try and declutter the last few years. If I don't use it I donate it if my daughter doesn't want it. The last time I moved I had so much stuff I said where did all this stuff come from lol. I decided to start getting rid of some things.

The 3 jars of oatmeal should be placed in a row, one behind the other on the far left. It would make it easier for you to grab the first in front when needed and nothing would be stored in front limiting access. It also avoids lots of manipulation. Placing same items in a single row simplifies organization.
@homemakingwithdenise

I thought about putting them in a row but...I have a jar of oatmeal out on the counter that I use. So the things in front are not things I have duplicates of. Any other suggestions?

Hi Ms Denise ❤️ I haven’t been on YT lately because we are getting ready to move into our new house! 🎉 I need to get me some of those tier shelves for my new cupboards/pantry.

Congratulations on your new home! I bet your new pantry is going to be amazing! And yes...do get some of the tier shelves for your new pantry. You might as well get started how you'd like it to be. I know moving into a new home is pricey so you'll want to watch your purchases but, you'll be glad later you have them. Don't forget how practical baskets can be in helping you corral items.

I only use a ladder when someone is in the home with me.
@homemakingwithdenise
@homemakingwithdenise 14 күн бұрын
My little ladder is more of a step stool. It only has two steps and it's not tall. Actually, he bought it for me to use if he's not around. Most of the time he's here and he fusses whenever I get on it! But it is sturdy and I am careful. But...I hear you. No one falls until they do.

Would putting the bay leaves in a mesh bag have the same effect as sprinkling them directly on the shelves?
@homemakingwithdenise
@homemakingwithdenise 13 күн бұрын
You know, it probably would. I never thought about that. I like to put them all around on the shelf but you're right. The odor of the bay leaves should be detectable wherever. Hahaha! I probably don't need to use so many. What tip are you going to try?
