I have had a DR Trimmer for about 5 or 6 years and I use it on my fence line also. I wish they had one for a skid steer.

How big of a fence energiser are you using? Asking because I think a lot of the time people would save money just using a bigger energiser and not having to do stuff like this. We use a Gallagher M12000i 120 joule energiser for a big area of fence line, and unless you have actual wire on wire shorts it's putting out a minimum of 9 KV. Will just burn right through pasture and weeds. Yeah it's a lot more money to spend on the energiser, but vs the cost of labour for a job that really doesn't add anything to your production it's worth considering.
