Eating from the pantry is a great lifestyle, and it has been fun to share our pantry-living lifestyle with everyone as part of the pantry challenge! As January progresses, we are still well stocked in the pantry but have been enjoying the meals every day and some restocking from the freezers.

I am on my own about 3-4 days every week. I usually eat leftovers and do minimal cooking. At times I get tired of the same things but over time I have learned to make smaller amounts. Love the video!!

We often eat leftovers, especially for lunch. I don't know why I have so much trouble cooking smaller portions. Yet, oddly enough,I hate cooking for big groups or family functions, lol.

@@PantryLiving I catered for a private company and then on my own after they closed. Mainly private dining, parties and weddings. cooking for 350 is easy. Cooking for 2 is HARD! 😂

I will be making those balsamic onions and will try the ranch dressing since I don’t buy it bottled from the store. I needed an easy recipe so thanks a lot. I am really enjoying your videos.

The onions were amazing. I have to come up with another recipe that would use them. They would be incredible on melted Brie cheese.

I never peel potatoes for canning, and I understand some say what they say different , but I did pealing in the beginning but no more, we love them with the peals. And I have done dry preasure canning with a bit of butter, so good.

Not peeling AND dry canning is just adding risk onto risk. Not worth it in my opinion.

I've never canned chilli meat, but it seems extremely useful! I will have to do that. Do you find that the texture is different?

Nope, it seems exactly the same to me. I love it and it is so convenient. And if I want to make nachos or tacos, I just open one up and add a bit of extra taco seasoning. I like things to be flexible or multipurpose.

I can never stop myself from commentig on your videos. They are so wonderful! Have you ever canned the balsamic onion jam in the newer Ball Book? It is delish and can be used on sandwiches and anything else and you can just grab it off the shelf. YUM!

I love the comments, so thank you for them. I did can them once, I think. Are they the ones you do in the slow cooker first? I shall have to look in my book. I may have done a recipe out of one of my other books. I did not love the recipe I did, but I will look it up and try again because I am not usually disappointed with the Ball book.

@@PantryLiving it is the all new ball book of canning; light teal and red cover. I wouldn’t put tons of the white pepper myself; I like it on the sweeter side but do your own tastes here. No slow cooker needed. It is on page 59. Too bad I couldn’t just do a screenshot lol. Hope you find it😊

I go straightforward for my comfort food, lol. Usually, there would have been potato chips and dip too, but we are trying to be good, so I didn't stock any of those. It's probably a good thing.
