Sir like I said before great review. The forte is the best all around blade. But for a black man you might want to go with the Carver for a closer shave if the head is not sensitive I'm just letting the brothers know. 😎

Thanks for your videos. I've been using skull shaver products for a few years now and it took me maybe a yr to realize this but if you skull shaver users aren't aware already.... when your either placing your shaver under the water or in the device you can get to dock your shaver and fill with water to clean the blades so not use hot water while doing so. I say this because in my experience the skull shaver logos that are on your blades are glued into the blades and after a short time will come off if you use hot water while rinsing out your blades in the dock. It's happened to me several times and I couldn't figure out why until recently.

Hi, I just used the mid range blades, the Forte, and it really made cuts on my skin! There wasn't cut with drops of blood, I can't even see the cuts, but I can feel them when I applied alcohol on my shaved skin. It burns a little, but really burns for a whyle. I guess I will need to pick the Baron blades.

I was getting quite the irritation with the forte on the back of my neck/head. I finally swapped to the baron and I thought it may not be as close. However I had no irritation and it seems to be much smoother shave and close cut. I was ready to move on to another product entirely. Appreciate the video.

Wet or dry if you like the feel of sandpaper when you are done, then this is the electric razor for you. Returned mine day one!! However, I own an Andis and a Panasonic ES LV9Q, and they both get me BBS like a DE or SE, wet or dry. Andis is dry only, but Panasonic is wet or dry. If you want to spend some money get the Panasonic. Change the outer blade once a year, and inner blade every two years. The cleaning stand takes care of cleaning, lubing and drying. Amazingly close…..to the skin. Absolutely love it! No I am not a paid advertiser. Just want you guys to get a great shave like I get! God bless.

You can use in the shower or out. Regular shave cream only, no gels. I clean it every few shaves, and I shave every other day or so. Hope this helps!

My Pitbull Gold came standard with a Forte, but when it came time to replace the head I went with the 30% cheaper Carver head. I can't tell a difference at all.

I also have a bunch of scars from an accident when I was a kid. They are basically ridges and trenches on my skull that look like huge wrinkles. Glad you mentioned it works with a scarred head. It's very annoying using a traditional head shaver on my scalp. Mine is prolly more uneven than your friends. Would you say that in this situation the blade choice matters? Would one handle the uneven surface better??

From SkullShaver themselves. Both blade designs can achieve a complete head shave in 90 seconds or less for many customers. The PRO 4 head is our newest design and has several performance improving enhancements over the original 5 head design. Even though the PRO blades only have 4 shaving heads, each shaving head is more effective in the PRO design. The PRO blades also come apart for easy cleaning. The PRO 3 head blades are made for shaving tightly contoured areas such as the face and neck. The only thing shorter is the One Lion Gold Pro, which does get skin close. But it sounds like you don't want it as short? The baby beast clipper is a regular trimmer that will leave it a little longer.

Good video. I have the Platinum. I've been using it for about 10 months - great shaver, I definitely recommend the Pitbull shaver. Mine came with the 5 head blade. I received my Barron Pro 4 head blade today. I'll be giving that a try in a few days. Since the "Pro 4x" series blades are somewhat new - SUGGESTION: show how to "disassemble" the new Pro blade for cleaning and reassemble.

Do they offer different closeness of shave? I'm not sure but I think i have coarse hair, I have the gold which came with the forte and I find that after shaving i still feel stubble left behind and wanted it as smooth as possible. I love the device and I know it works because when i use it in dry i can see how much hair comes out when i empty the blade I just want it as close as possible.

I think the Forte blade gets the closest with less irritation. But keep in mind, with an electric shaver, you will never get 100% smooth. I have never used anything better than the Skull Shaver though.

is the actual steel blade the same in the 3 heads? could probably just get the cheaper head and move the blades to the forte and save some cash

The blades are the same, but the shielding and rotary portion are different.
