Three Springs Falls & Cascades - It's a Short & Easy Hike! Near Big Flat / Mountain View AR

Located on the south side of Push Mountain Rd, (HWY 314) close to Big Flat, these two falls are very easy to access, and are listed in Tim Ernst's "Arkansas Waterfalls" guide.
The parking spot for this one is just off Cook Rd, a short dirt road just off AR-341 near Big Flat. On a muddy day, 2WD folks might consider parking closer to the main highway, but on days like today, just drive the 1/3rd mile of Cook Rd and save a few hiking steps.
This was stop 3 for us for the day, and fortunately Super Leeds had already gotten a little swim time in. I've never found an obvious way to access down below on each of my visits here, which is where the pools are for him at places like this.
This is such an easy hike to the top though, following a very obvious ATV trail on a slow but steady downhill trajectory for 0.2 miles and then a now very well trodden trail that leads to the little loop around the 3 falls here.
No major obstacles to overcome along the way.
We pondered at the cascades first - and I love the rocks up top, even if they are super slick when wet. The way the water tumbles from the top tier and then snakes it's way around to the big drop is quite mesmerizing.
Three Springs Falls is only a matter of a couple hundred feet away. You won't miss it, although sadly the best views are currently obscured by a hefty downed tree. On the bright side, that tree did provide a little comfort for me as I peered over the edges & ledges.
To access the third fall here, follow the water that feeds Three Springs Falls upstream. It does begin to get a little more bushwhacky, but still nothing too major for most folks.
We again plodded around the bluffs to try spy an obvious, even not so obvious way to access below, but again failed. One day we'll make it down there!
Google maps will take you right to the parking spot. Phone signal is poor at best in most areas. Keep that in mind before you go. Download digital maps you may need in advance. If you visit these places, please recreate responsibly. Leave no trace and #leavenotrace
